Mrs Fleming’s Last Day 16th March 2022

16th Mar 2022

It was an emotional day in St. Joseph’s today when we said goodbye and thank you to Mrs Fleming. Mrs Fleming began teaching in St. Joseph’s 29 years ago and went on to become our cherished Vice Principal. She has encouraged and inspired so many children and staff to follow our school motto and ‘Be the best that they can be’.

The day started with the attendance of our invited guests. The children then began the celebrations with a ‘This is your life’, followed by a dance that they had been rehearsing in secret for the last month.

Next up came a segment based on Mrs Fleming’s favourite TV programme: The Today Show, with a question and answer theme. Sienna and Fearghal were the presenters who interviewed Mrs Fleming - watch out Maura and Daithe!

The staff were up next. They performed some songs from Mrs Fleming’s favourite shows that she has directed over the years. Some of our lovely past pupils joined in too!

To close the morning, Mrs Fleming was presented with gifts from the staff, governors, parish, children and families.

On behalf of everyone in the St. Joseph’s community, we wish Mrs Fleming the very best of luck with her new role at CCEA, and we thank her from the bottom of our hearts for all that she has done for our school.
