| Catholic Schools Week 2012 29th January - 4th February |
| | The theme of Catholic Schools Week this year, ‘Christ’s Living Body Active in our World’ seeks to highlight how we should show the love of God in our daily relationships with each other. It should be visible through the care, respect, understanding and support we show to each person we interact with in our day to day lives. As a school we develop these values through our Curriculum for the children, but we want each person who visits our school either parent or visitor to leave our company feeling respected, listened to and cared for. | | Pupils in Miss Delaney’s P1 class made their grandparents so proud when they invited them to come into St Joseph’s Primary School to hear their tribute to them this week. As part of Catholic Schools Week St Joseph’s recognise the important role which grandparents have in supporting the parents of their pupils in ensuring that the values and principles of the Catholic faith are handed on to this generation of children. In the words of the prayer written by St Teresa of Avila: ‘Christ has no body now on earth, but yours’. We are the body of Christ here in St. Joseph’s P.S. You are The Body of Christ visible in your family. Click here to see more photos of our P1's with their Grandparents in our Photo Gallery. |
