In Primary Seven life is very exciting.There is lots to do and things to see.
Curriculum
Maths............Very hard sums - algebra, tesselations, symmetry and lots of fun investigations. In our investigations we always learn new things. our last investigation was all about consecutive numbers.
English...........Compehension, spellings, creative writing and lots of reading! We started using new English books this year. the comprehension passages are very challenging. the language is very hard. we learn to recognise nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs.
History..........Victorians and their lives. We love learning about the Victorians - we have lots of books from the library and we are able to research ourselves. We collect all our information in scrap books. We even go to Castleward to learn more about the Victorians! 
Science..........We discover for ourselves, lots of investigations and make lots of exciting things! we learn all about electricity, dissolving, the properties of materials, light and the human body. We have made brilliant models in technology. P.E................Netball, football, swimming,gymnastics, dance, games and athletics. This year we are working really hard on our PE - our gymnastics is really good fun. ICT................ Brilliant in our computer suite. We do a really hard exam called ICT accreditation.
Religion.........Discovering and using our talents, praying and sharing.
Art............... Painting like William Morris, portraits and sculpting! 
Music ...........Singing, playing the recorder and making music using percussion instruments. Activities School Trip - We go on a residential every year - last year it was to Manchester. We hope to go there too! Swimming - In term Two every Friday Choir - We train twice every week and at lunch time Prefects - We look after the younger children and we have special buddies Pupil Council - We discuss things about the school and make important decisions Library - We visit the local library to research topics Education for Diversity - We are linked with Harmony Hill Primary and St. Aloysius school. We visit them and work on topics with them. |
